CNC Technician

Reporting to Engineering, the CNC technician is responsible for overseeing all CNC cut plastic and vinyl components.

Job Responsibilities

  • Organize all CNC files: Improve nesting to reduce waste and verify no duplicate cuts
  • Digitize and organize vinyl patterns
  • Identify and implement efficiencies in cutting and distributing parts
  • Approve and document CNC Change requests made by production line and R&D department
  • Perform appropriate machine preventative maintenance
  • Understand the application/installation for each CNC cut part throughout the production line
  • Support R&D with special projects/Prototyping
  • Willingness to learn and problem solve 
  • Proficiency with PC’s 

Skills and Knowledge

  • Associate’s degree or 1+ years of equivalent technical experience
  • Experience with AutoCAD preferred. Knowledge of CNC programming in EnRoute and CutWorks a plus.
  • Team player and able to build and maintain relationships with both the production line and the R&D department
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Production Engineer

Reporting to Engineering Manager, the engineer is responsible for product support and implementation of new product release to manufacturing.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: change of current product, administration of ECN process, and bill of materials structures.  Work closely with manufacturing department to ensure manufacturability. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Become integrated member of product teams to mitigate and implement all engineering, manufacturing, and product changes and enhancement.
  • Support production team with timely execution of solutions to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Analyzes and evaluates manufacturing methods and standards.  Provides solution to problems that adversely affect operator safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
  • Develops and updates process documentation and procedure instruction.
  • Assists in development and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.
  • Work in safe and healthy manner, strictly following all safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.                                

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering preferred.  Degree in electrical
  • Strong CAD knowledge in SolidWorks, Alias, AutoCAD, ProE or other 3D mechanical design.
  • 1+years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience.  Previous successful co-op or internship experience would be considered toward this requirement if related.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering change management:  EO, ECN, ECR, etc.
  • Team player and able to build and maintain relationships with  both internal and external customers.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills required.
  • Proficiency with PC’s.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Prior electrical experience preferred on DC electrical systems.

Buyer

Tigé Boats is seeking a driven, hard-working individual to fill a full-time position as Buyer. This position is based out of Tige Boats Headquarters in Abilene, TX.

This position is responsible for supplier scheduling and monitoring delivery for purchased parts, interaction with suppliers in his/her area of responsibility, monitoring that appropriate inventory levels are maintained, and tracking supplier performance.

Responsibilities:  

  •  Utilizing ERP, establishes and maintains Purchase Orders and/or replenishment signals to assure a smooth flow of materials.
  • Coordinates logistics with Suppliers and 3PL to assure that materials are on site in a timely manner to facilitate accurate and adequate parts availability to meet customer demands. 
  • Manage consignment programs for materials and blanket purchasing agreements for commodity items.
  • Monitor, track and report on supplier compliance to delivery due dates, identify risks to late delivery, handle escalations with suppliers according to company procedures.
  • Maintains effective working relationship and communication with all departments.
  • Collaborates with Product Management, Engineering, and Production Planning in new product introductions and planned product discontinuations in order to minimize obsolescence and maximize customer’s delivery expectations. 
  • Collaborates with BOM admin to ensure Pricing is maintained accurately in ERP.  
  • Collaborates with A/P to ensure resolution of invoice discrepancies.
  • Supports cycle count and physical inventory activities. 

Graphic Designer

Tigé Boats is seeking a driven, hard working individual to fill a full-time position as Graphic Designer. Professional experience is preferred for the position but is not required, and will be based out of Tige Boats Headquarters in Abilene, TX.

The Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualization and implementation of design solutions that meet Tigé marketing strategies. The Graphic Designer will be tasked with creation of design solutions, from concept to completion, in a wide range of graphic applications including: collateral materials, social media, environmental graphics, catalog publications, brand identity, point of purchase, video titling, multimedia and web interfaces. He/she presents visual solutions to Tigé corporate team and helps communicate strategies behind design ideas and executions. He/she also assists outside design professionals and agencies with corporate projects outside of the company. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assume creative responsibility for all corporate marketing projects through to completion. From concept and design to production on all print and web material 
  • Work closely with the Design & Marketing Director and marketing team to create collateral, promotional and advertising pieces 
  • Support the Sales Team in creating necessary sales and trade show material 
  • Support the Tigé dealer network in creating necessary corporate material 
  • Work closely with the Design & Marketing Director, and outside agencies on the design and production of the annual catalog and other marketing material 
  • Perform maintenance and updates tige.com through a content management system 
  • Assist with visual support of all online media 
  • Assist with content and visual creative for social media 
  • Available to assist in planning and art directing photo shoots 
  • Available to travel on occasion for company 
  • Manage Advertising Schedules and creative output in timely structure 
  • Manage all creative files in an easy access database 

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred 
  • Must be a creative thinker, and show ideas about how best to communicate an idea, concept, or business model.
  • Portfolio of excellent design work
 
  • Expert use of Adobe CS suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Fireworks)

Tooler/Plug Builder/Fiberglass Fabricator

Tige Boats is seeking an experienced tooler-plug builder-fiberglass fabricator.  

Ideal candidate will be highly motivated and self-directed craftsman able to work in a team environment, and also able to work independently.  Working knowledge of building prototypes and plugs and finishes and sanding and polishing best practices and techniques.  

Meticulous, quality and detail oriented and takes pride in work a must!
